WOSM ESR Circular 13 2013

For 3 years, the European Regional Office has applied successfully for a European Union grant for “ Youth worker mobility” within the programme Youth in Action. This grant allowed one youth worker from a National Scout Organisation/National Scout Association to experience the work of funding and external relations in the WOSM Brussels office for 6 months while supporting the work of the sending organisation also in these areas.

The objectives of this project:

1) Contribute to the personal and professional development of a young youth worker by giving them the opportunity to experience the European dimension of youth work by contributing to the activities of the Brussels Regional Office in external relations and funding;

2) Deliver support and strengthen cooperation with an NSO/NSA on specific identified topics such policy development, funding and to reinforce the European dimension within the sending organisation;

This project should be seen as a good opportunity for the National Scout Organisations and National Scout Associations to strengthen their external relations and funding and therefore should answer to a need identified by the NSO/NSA.
