Happy International Volunteers Day!
Every year on 5th December we have the opportunity to celebrate the commitment of millions of volunteers who, wherever they live, are taking action to build a better world.
Survey on Volunteering in Scouting and Guiding
As you know volunteering is one of the areas on which the European Regions of WAGGGS and WOSM are working during the current Triennium. As part of this work and also to follow up our participation in the European Year of Volunteering we have developed a survey to help the regions understand the volunteering that is taking place in Guiding and Scouting and the needs of our Guide and Scout volunteers.
Reminder: 15 more days to register for the IC Forum
International Commissioners Forum will take place in Athens, between 6 and 9 December 2012. The aim of the forum is to provide a venue for International Commissioners to share and gain information on the important roles they play in the life of their associations. This is a place to be in 2013. for all International Commissioners in Scouting and Guiding and members of their teams to help in Making the Connections.
WAGGGS and WOSM Candidates for the Board of the European Youth Forum
The General Assembly of the European Youth Forum is taking place in Maribor, Slovenia between 22-25 November 2012. Both regions have nominated candidates for the Board of the European Youth Forum.
Call for participants for a seminar on segregation in school environments
The Youth Department of the Council of Europe is launching a call for participants for the seminar “The role of youth work in combating segregation in school environments: a seminar for youth workers and actors in formal education”, which will be held in Strasbourg, 21-24 November 2012. Deadline for applying: 22 October 2012.
