In order to assist member organisations in their forward planning the European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region WAGGGS are pleased to provide an update on joint WAGGGS/WOSM events agreed to take place between April 2015 and June 2016.

Job Opportunity at the European Scout Office, Brussels: Projects Support Assistant

The European Regional Office of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), based in Brussels (Belgium), is seeking a Projects Support Assistant to work on project and event administration. The person will also be responsible for matters concerning the administrative tasks of our office, which supports European Scouting in its relationships with the European Institutions and their funding sources.

The position is a junior position, providing support in all areas of our operations including the office based in Geneva (Switzerland).

A limited amount of travel within Europe will be required.

If you are interested, make sure that your application (including a letter of motivation and a curriculum vitae) reaches the European Regional Office (europe@scout.org) by Tuesday, 7 April 2015 at the latest. Shortlisted candidates will be advised by 8 April and interviews will be held in Brussels on Wednesday, 15 April 2015 for a start as soon as possible.

Ouverture d’un poste au Bureau Européen du Scoutisme, à Bruxelles: Assistant / Assistante pour le soutien de projets

Le Bureau Régional Européen de l’Organisation Mondial du Mouvement Scout (OMMS), basé à Bruxelles (Belgique), cherche un ou une Assistant ou Assistante pour le soutien de projets notamment pour l’administration de projets et d’événements. La personne sera également responsable pour des tâches liées au domaine administratif de notre bureau qui soutien le Scoutisme Européen dans ses relations avec les Institutions Européennes et leurs sources de subventions.

Ce poste est une position junior fournissant un soutien dans tous les domaines de nos opérations, y compris pour le bureau basé à Genève (Suisse).

Une quantité limitée des voyages en Europe sera nécessaire.

Si vous êtes intéressé, assurez vous que votre dossier de candidature (avec votre lettre de motivation et le curriculum vitae) soit reçu par le Bureau Régional Européen (europe@scout.org) le mardi, 7 avril 2015 au plus tard. Following work on updating the current Regional Scout Plan of the European Scout Region of WOSM and some confirmation on activities “to be advised” we are pleased to share with you an update of regional events planned for the remainder of this calendar year and the months up to the European Scout Conference in 2016. An update of regional eventsw and activities planned and run jointly with the Europe Region WAGGGS will follow shortly.

Regional Circular 04 2015 – Regional Scout Plan 2013-2016: Situation Assessment March 2015

At its meeting in March 2015, the European Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) reviewed basic summary reports received from the Regional Priority Project and Core Groups. The resulting update on work achieved in relation to the objectives set in the current Regional Scout Plan is avaialble in Regional Circular 04 2014 (English-French):

Regional Circular 03 2015 – Open Call: Messengers of Peace Mini Grants Projects

The European Scout Region through the Regional Decision Committee (RDC) of the Messenger of Peace (MoP) Initiative of WOSM is launching an open call for “Mini Grants Projects” to be submitted not later than 30 April 2015.

The “Mini Grants Project” is to support a total of three such projects in the European Region to be implemented from 1 June 2015 for one year.
