Chief Executives Meeting 2017 Confirmed
The European Scout Region of WOSM and the Europe Region WAGGGS are pleased to inform that the Chief Executives Meeting 2017 is now confirmed, with a sufficient number of executives from member organisations of both Regions having expressed interest. Additional applications are still welcome to allow an even more fruitful exchange during the event.
As planned, the event will therefore take place in Bratislava (SK) from 2 to 4 May 2017. Please find all relevant information in the events section of this website, where the application form remains accessible, too.
Joint Open Call: EraScout & EraGuide Project Group
The Europe Region WAGGGS and the European Scout Region of WOSM are pleased to share this Joint Open Call. to recruit members of a future EraScout & EraGuide Project Group.
Pursuant to Joint Recommendation 15EGSC/5 of the recent 15th European Guide and Scout Conference, the European Scout Committee and the Europe Committee WAGGGS, plan to set up a project working group to develop recommendations for the two Committees on how the joint work of the European Regions of WOSM and WAGGGS can support the work of the European EraGuide & EraScout Network.

WAGGGS and WOSM Europe Invite to next Chief Executives Meeting
We are pleased to provide initial information on the 2017 edition of the Chief Executives Meeting of Scout and Guide Associations in the European Regions of WOSM and WAGGGS (or equivalent positions).
We are delighted to confirm that the meeting will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 2 to 4 May 2017.
AQUA 2017 – Slovak National Jamboree (August 2017)
Slovenský Skauting, the Scout and Guide Association in Slovakia (members of WAGGGS and WOSM), is organising “AQUA 2017″ next Summer and aksed us to share with you the following information.
AQUA 2017 is the Slovak National Jamboree this coming Summer. Organised by the Sea Scout branch of Slovenský Skauting, the Jamboree is not only open to Sea Scouts from around Europe and beyond, but also to all other Scouts, who want to experience international Scouting at this water themed event.
Joint Communication: Invitation – Scouts Guides I/O Event 2017
“Scout & Guides I/O 2017″, which is an initiative of the ICT Network in the European Regions of WAGGGS and WOSM, will take place at Gilwell Park in the United Kigdom from 9 to 12 February 2017.
Participants meet other Scouts and Guides with an interest in information technology, information systems, communication technology and their application within Scouting and Guiding on léocal, regional and national levels.
At this three-day event:
- Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges with com- munication and information technology that you are facing in your organization or association and, together with other participants, you will be able to work on solutions.
- Participants can meet participants from other scouting and guiding organi- sations in Europe that face similar problems and challenges as yours and that you can help by sharing your thoughts or collaborating with them across borders.
- Participants can get a fresh perspective on communication and technology matters from experts inside and outside of the world of scouting and guiding.
- Participants will go home with new ideas and plans for prioritizing and struc- turing the IT and communication goals, processes and policies in your organization or association.
