The event programme overview
We start of the meeting with getting to know each other better. Who are you, tell us about your scout or guide association, tell us about diversity in your country.
Afterwards we will welcome a keynote speaker, Marijke Hodes, who will tell us more about the Dutch project ‘Group development’, and all Scouting Nederland has learned about the thresholds in Scouting and Guiding in the Netherlands. We will end the day with an international evening.
Saturday will start off with by looking at the different kind of thresholds in Scouting and Guiding and, together, look for solutions, that can help you in your own association. Everybody will have a opportunity to present a project of their own, which helped to lower a threshold.
After lunch we will head off to the city of Rotterdam. The plan is go on a group visit and get the chance to experience Scouting and Guiding in the Netherlands, either at a special needs group, or a group working on diversity. We will end the day by visiting the city of Rotterdam. Think of architecture, harbours, Dutch cuisine, and Rotterdam’s nightlife.
Sunday we will have the business session, information from WAGGGS and WOSM and presenting the next steps of the ‘web database’ project the Overture Network worked on.
More details about the meeting and how to register for this event you can find on Overture Network website.
