Scouts et Guides de France (SGDF) on behalf of the North South network’s Troïka, in cooperation with the European Scout Bureau, are pleased to invite you to the Partnership event which will be held from 15th March to 18th March 2012 in Paris.
What?
This meeting is organized by a network which aims at fostering, strengthening and developing new partnerships between European youth NGOs and youth NGOs from other regions of the world; including every neighbouring partner countries, Africa, Asia, South America and Pacific countries. These meetings gather people from different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds volunteering together in joint projects. They are promoting greater understanding and co-operation between the stakeholders based on mutual respect, awareness and reflection on the differences in values, respect of the human rights and inter-cultural activities. The event aims at gathering European NGOs already involved in partnerships with youth NGOs from third countries (and neighbouring partner countries) as well as YNGOs willing to embark on partnerships with partners from other regions. In order to achieve these priorities, the project will follow the objectives described below:
- Improving and fostering relationships between the partners , facilitating the creation of new and/or the strengthening of already existing partnerships
- Promoting exchanges of experiences, information, best practices and success stories among the partners on partnerships designed by and for young people
- Improving capacities and skills of the young volunteers involved in partnerships and inter-cultural exchanges
- Disseminate the results of a Youth in Action funded project, “Unguvu”
- Contributing to the impact assessment of partnerships and volunteering engagement in partnerships
Who?
All NSOs and NSAs in the European Region are welcome to join and participate. For this event, we strongly hope that your partners from the Arab, African, Asia Pacific, Eurasian and Interamerican Regions will join us. To facilitate this participation, we highly recommend you to support your partners! Indeed, the expenses associated with the participation of your partner needs unfortunately to be bear by your organisation as the grant does not cover their participation in the meeting (but covers part of yours!)!
How much?
We are pleased to inform you that the grant application which has been submitted to the French agency of the European Youth in Action Programme was accepted! This means that the NSOs and NSAs which have sent a partnership agreement (PPA) will benefit lower participation fees. Besides, this grant will allow our brothers and sisters from the Eurasian Region to participate and contribute to the success of this meeting.
The fees are set at 50 € (maximum) per “Youth in Action” participant, and 200 € (maximum) per other participant.
What’s more, we ask you to process the booking of your travel tickets quickly to save on transportation costs and comply with the grant regulations. (See Annex 1) .
