Invitation to Training Events on Diversity and Inclusion – WOSM Circular 20 2014

Diversity and Inclusion is one of the Strategic Objectives referred to in the Regional Scout Plan for 2013-2016 where the European Scout Region and its member organisations defined a commitment to work on this topic.

In particular we are determined to work on these questions:

  • How is the value of Diversity and Inclusion and its presence in Scouting recognised?
  • How are action plans on Diversity and Inclusion developed and implemented?
  • How is it ensured that Scouting is accessible to all?

As a beginning, the European Scout Region – with the support of the Council of Europe, European YouthFoundation – has planned two events. They offer a platform to ask and answer, train and learn, and share experiences. Among other areas, opportunities and challenges in the dialogue with Roma people, Inter-religious dilemmas and excluded youth will be tackled.
