The Academy now has a strong tradition in providing practical and valuable training and advice to NSOs and MOs in the European Region. The next Academy will take place 4-9 November in Belgrade, Serbia.

The ability of participants to build on their own learning programme, based on the needs of their own NSO/MO is a valuable opportunity for both NSO/MO as well as for the participant’s individual development.

The event is open for everyone holding a position at national level in Member Organisations of WAGGGS and National Scout Organisations and National Scout Associations of WOSM, from members of particular working groups to Chief Commissioners.

Most organisations will probably send participants that hold positions in specific areas of work. Previous Academies show that most participants are active in the field of Governance (as commissioners or board members), in the field of Educational Methods/Education (as trainers or those responsible for programme/education) or in the field of Representation (for instance in communications or advocacy). The Academy 2014 offers a broad range of sessions addressing matters of interest to all these different groups of participants.
